GuruGanesha SinghGuruGanesha Singh is my new role model, though I bet he has no idea that he is.  Why?  He seems to be firing on all cylinders in multiple areas of his life:

Physical - He looks to be in great health. He stands for long hours during his concerts and has the stamina to put on really great shows. Anyone who tells you that putting on a concert and singing your heart out for hours at a time doesn’t require energy and a level of physical fitness has never done it.

Spiritual — follower of the Sikh religion. (His awesome guitar playing can be considered a spiritual pursuit as well.) When I hear his voice, and watch him perform, he seems to be connected to something on a different plane. It’s magical to watch and listen to him. I’ll get another chance on May 18th at 7:30pm in the Artisphere Spectrum Theatre, Arlington, VA.  You can get more info on his Facebook Page or on the Spirit Voyage Web Site.

Relational — He has been married for 25 years and has two children, (read — solid home life) and is on stage with many well known spiritual or new age musicians (read — has many, many friends). And it seems like he is always willing and able to assist many other artists as backup guitarist and has a few of his own albums. (read — is always willing to help others and have a good time).

Mental — my guess is that his yoga, meditation and guitar pursuits keep him in pretty good shape mentally.

Financial — Successfully started and subsequently sold a well known training company in Tech savvy Northern Virginia and then went on to start Spirit Voyage Records, a record label and outlet for those who are spiritually connected to the devotional music and events that they create. His sales training company and the record label have offered him the leverage to pursue other adventures that he desires to experience.

By the way, this is all just observation on my part based on what I have read and heard.  I have never spoken to him about his life, his beliefs, his family or his business. Nor do I need need to — the man just exudes all this energy and it shows. (At least to me.) He exudes the peace and a congruence in all areas of his life that it just shows up for me. A direct result of living authentically, no doubt. In short it seems to me that he is a man that has his sh*t together.

I have always been interested in the harmonious merging of the business world with the spiritual world, as well as the  intertwining of the gadget and technology world with spirit and nature. There is beauty, peace and amazing synergies that can be observed and experienced when the combination of all of these things is experienced together.  I believe that we can be spiritually “rich” (fulfilled)  while at the same time being spiritually connected to God, Allah, Source, or whatever other label you want to use for that place where we all come from, and where we all return to. That place that always is, and always has been. That place where we are all one.

I own all of his albums, and have seen him perform live and it is such a joy to see an incredibly bright and shining example of possibility in this world. He has chosen to share his talents with the world through his music and I am so grateful for this amazing gift.

Check it out and tell me if you too don’t find him to be  so freakin’ amazing and such an inspiration.

Peace & Blessings,
